Modern technology has granted a number of remarkable miracles to humanity. Today, for example, I came across a particular machine that gave me as much cash as I wanted in return for a piece of plastic. Amazing.
One such miracle happened today when I saw my beloved Shmee come to life. He danced, he sang, he cried, and he mated. This was made possible by the artistry of my esteemed roommate Carl Smith, as well as the developers behind the popular new PC game called "Spore." Spore is a game in which players are allowed to create their own species and help them evolve from small microorganisms in a tide pool to a galactic empire that destroys planets at will.
Needless to say, not all creations are intelligently designed; Carl's shmee being a perfect example. In spite of (or perhaps because of) Carl's faithful attention to detail and anatomy, the Shmee is a rather useless creature that would not last long in the wild. I don't need a computer game to tell me that, but it's an incredible thing to actually see it happen.

However, I'm told it has unusual skills in charm, dance, posing and singing.
Is there a Shmoe in the primordial soup? A genetic variant from the Shmee, I presume.
Does the Schmuck go the way of the Dodo?
